Can I install sod on top of the existing grass?

No, you can't. The new sod can die. Removing the old lawn before laying the new sod is critical in creating a healthy, successful root system. 

 

How soon do I need to install the sod?

Sod is perishable, so it needs to be installed within 24 hours of receiving the sod. 

 

Does Green Acres Sod Farm offer sod installation?

No, we don't. 

 

How much topsoil do I need to install the sod on?

You need approximately 4-6 inches of topsoil.

How often do I need to water the sod?

Water daily in the evenings until the sod is saturated. Do this until the sod is established (approximately 2-3 weeks). Talk to your lawn care professionals to create a maintenance plan for your sod.
